Artie Trope is Macguffin’s in-house cartoonist, creator of the long-running comic strip, The Inscrutables, Cartoonist Emeritus at Picklefish Studios, and often referred to as “the second or third greatest, living, black-and-white, Fleisher-style, single-panel, gag cartoonist in the Pacific Northwest”. He is a co-founder of the Institute for the Advanced Study of Single-Panel Comics, a leading industry think tank focused on the impacts of AI and other emerging technologies on art culture. He lives with his wife Syd and their dogs in Seattle.
