“The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas.”
From the Editor
It’s Saturday morning, I’ve got a dark brew in my favorite mug, the holiday music is on, and the sun is out in Seattle for the first time in weeks. This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for our growing community of investors who make possible the continued development of some fantastic entertainment franchises from concept to final IP.
Speaking of, we came in early to launch the Testing the Waters phase of Jason Baldwin’s WWII wrestling action/comedy concept, THE TURNBUCKLE BRIGADE, before hitting send on GUFF #11. Episode 1 of the animated webseries is under way. For the initial capital raise, TURNBUCKLE shares will be priced at $100 and the target raise is $25,000 - $50,000, which will fund five additional episodes of the animated web series. Interested investors can find the details on Pilot Page, where you can also RVSP for the Offering and receive access to the full feature treatment, and additional content in development.
We’re also thankful to our hard-working team, including screenwriter Bobby Henwood, whose Turnbuckle treatment was greenlit for TTW, and storyboard artist Walter Vasquez, who has breathed life into Jason Baldwin’s characters. we have assets for The Turnbuckle Brigade. and creator Jason Baldwin, who has been banging away at the keyboard. Subscribers to the Infinite Monkeys creative process will find a much expanded Synopsis 2, as well as all the latest character designs, in the Infinite Monkeys Workroom.
The slate for 2026 continues to expand….
Anyway, after this, Artie went off an expanded the planned concept to have the troop of simian typist successfully complete The Complete Work of Shakespeare, only to move on more expansive creative horizons by tackling “The Best of Simon & Garfunkel" as an encore. There was some debate about covering Simon & Garfunkel vs say, Hall & Oates, or Radiohead, but legal was ok with all of them. (The Monkeys felt too on the nose.) Long story short, the Infinite Monkeys single-panel turned into a triptych, and then a quadriptych (look it up), as the troop ventured into painting, acting, etc. They had to be rearranged because it made more sense to have the troop begins its infinite journey with the drip period works of Jackson Pollock, then having gained confined and some chemistry as a unit to tackle The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, and then moves on to their crowning achievement, The Very Best of Hall & Oates. And finally to a Netflix remake of the final episode of Game of Thrones.
As far as the single-panel comics go, Artie says this little gag has runs its course, and it’s time to turn it over to the professionals for development.
So it’s all in the hands of Chris and Natalie now. The Infinite Monkeys development plan calls for a novel and a screenplay for the pilot episode of a planned 7-episode story arc. To get from here to there, we’ll be sharing weekly drafts, insights, challenges, and small victories along the way. If you’re not already subscribed, you can support the Infinite Monkeys concept by joining the Workroom, where you can see work-in-progress, engage with the team, and receive the final drafts.
Read on for the Concept of the Week - Welcome to Calamityville, an interesting twist on alien invasion yarns, eco-catastrophe, and the moral quandary of AI in… everything. We’re working out the kinks, but I can see it working as a 1930’s screwball comedy with echoes of Three-Cornered Moon or The Miracle of Morgan’s Creek. Or with a modern Hitchhiker’s Guide vibe. But you be the judge. You can vote to “Greenlight” or “Stop This Synopsis” below… -Ed.

Concept of the Week
“When the Axis Powers begin searching for a relic that could turn the tide of World War II, General Eisenhower recruits the four greatest professional wrestlers in the world to form a top-secret unit codenamed The Turnbuckle Brigade. ”
When the Axis Powers begin searching for a relic that could turn the tide of World War II, General Eisenhower recruits the four greatest professional wrestlers in the world to form a top-secret unit codenamed The Turnbuckle Brigade.
Wrestlers Frank Zill, The Borneo Wildman, Breathtaking Benjamin Bradley and El Aguila de la Muerte are deployed on a secret mission: retrieve the Shroud of Turin, a biblical relic that grants the bearer unimaginable power. The Axis powers, led by Dr. Metallgesicht (English – Dr. Metalface) are hunting for it as well. He’s backed by The Brotherhood of the Shroud, an ancient Ninja order dedicated to protecting the relic itself. It’s a race against time with the fate of the world in the balance.
The wrestlers infiltrate a gothic castle in an unnamed European area and use their professional wrestling skills to avoid traps, fight through hordes of enemy soldiers and eventually face the Brotherhood itself.
It won’t be easy. Metallgesicht has anticipated the Allied Powers’ plan and has one of his own that includes the Shroud itself.

Character Cards: The Turnbuckle Brigade
To follow the full character development process, enter the Workroom.
Frank Zill
Frank is based on “good guy” wrestlers from the era. Lou Thez, Frank Gotch, and Bruno Sammartino. Typical trunks-and-boots wrestling getup. Current All-Star Worldwide Wrestling Association Champion. The epitome of the American Hero. De facto team leader.
The Borneo Wildman
Based on “wildman” wrestlers like Kamala, The Missing Link, The Wild Samoans and Bruiser Brody. Behind the façade, he's quite intelligent. The team's master tactician and strategist.
Breathtaking Benjamin Bradley
Based entirely on the flamboyant wrestler Gorgeous George. He never breaks character, so no one (including the reader) is ever certain if he's “acting” or not. The team respects him as one of their own, so his flamboyance is never an issue. Wears an extravagant robe like wrestler Ric Flair or even Liberace. Uses a cane. Insanely manicured with his chest hair shaved into the shape of a heart. During the main fight scene, he ALWAYS uses the head scissors wrestling move. He never mixes it up.
El Aguila de la Muerte
Mexican Wrestler/Luchador. Silent. Terrifying. Cold. Calculating. The team's infiltration and assassination expert. Think Snake-Eyes from GI Joe meets Mil Mascaras or El Santo.
Col. Haverchuck
The team's commanding officer and the guy Eisenhower tasked with recruiting the team. Perpetually behind a desk. Longs to go back into combat and thinks the wrestlers are ridiculous. Middle aged. Wise beyond his years. Tired. So very tired.
Dr. Metallgesicht
Dr. Doom meets Toht from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Long, high-collared black coat like Axis officers wore. Black hat. Scary-cool bad guy metal mask. He only wears it because it's scary and because “Metallgesicht” is his given name, so he figures he should live up to it.
The Brotherhood of the Shroud
Faceless ninjas ready to protect the Shroud. They’ll die for it if they must.
