Development of original romantic comedy concept set to begin in February 2026

SEATTLE, WA — (January 31, 2026) - Macguffin Co., the entertainment IP development company, today announced that it has acquired the development rights to Whistler, a romantic action/comedy concept, from Boston-based creator Jenn Badua. Whistler is the story of Stella Capella Cantori, an aspiring opera singer whose pet parrot rockets to viral fame, who must outwit her unscrupulous agent before he sabotages her career in an devious effort to swindle her out of her feathered friend.
The project is currently in development at Macguffin Co., with initial plans underway to adapt the story into an animated web series. To support this effort, the company is “Testing the Waters” under SEC Regulation CF (Rule 206) ahead of a planned Phase 1 capital raise scheduled for April 2026. Funds raised will be used to advance Phase 1 of the creative development plan, which includes the creation of an animated web series.
